Shura

Shura has found her true home and now lives surrounded by love and care.🖤🩶🤍🩷💚💙🩵

I want to share her story — a story of resilience, love, and hope. Sometimes breeders understand their cats better than veterinarians because we live with them, know every quirk of their personality, every reaction.

A year and a half ago, my beloved Lera gave birth to a long-awaited litter. I had dreamed about this pairing and decided to keep two girls for our breeding program. One of them was Shura — incredibly beautiful, but a bit shy from the beginning. I thought about it for a long time and decided to keep her in my breeding program. She’s incredibly beautiful.

I hoped she would open up with time. But her personality stayed the same — gentle and reserved. I realized Shura would be happier in a home where she would simply be loved, not used for breeding. Because in my approach to breeding, it’s not just about looks — temperament matters too. After all, character is inherited.

Last October, Shura was perfectly healthy. We took her in for a routine spay and dental cleaning. A few days after surgery, she began gasping for breath in my arms and lost consciousness. 💔😿🙀💥What followed was a nightmare only my husband and I truly understand — countless tears, sleepless nights by her side. She couldn’t eat — even a drop of food would make her faint. One night, we rushed her to the emergency vet, but got no clear answers. We visited three different clinics and spent nearly $3,000 on diagnostics. They told us a full work-up would cost over $5,000. Every vet we saw — including the one responsible for her surgery — told us to put her down. Said there was no hope. But my husband stood firm: “We won’t give up on her. She deserves to live.” We are now pursuing a complaint through pet insurance and no longer work with that vet.

Most likely, her trachea was damaged during intubation. This led to breathing difficulties and problems swallowing. For two months, she survived only on very soft food mixed with lots of water. Gradually, she started to eat slightly thicker meals. Each month brought tiny improvements.

Shura lived in our bedroom that entire time. We breathed with her, watched every breath, stayed close. A wonderful woman who had adopted a kitten from us wanted to give Shura a home, but her situation changed. So now Shura is once again looking for a family.

She’s still a little shy. She needs a quiet, peaceful home — preferably without small children. She won’t be a playful, energetic kitten. She’s more like a delicate flower, one that blossoms with patience and love. She’s very affectionate, gentle, and sweet. She loves to be near you, sit in your lap, watch the world around her, and feel your warmth.

If you choose to welcome Shura into your life, I’ll tell you everything I know about her. I’ll guide you in how to care for her. Because she’s a piece of my heart — a symbol of our fight, our faith. My husband and I stood by her when no one else believed. And she proved that miracles do happen.

Trust your breeder. We know the breed, we know the temperaments, we know when something isn’t right. If anything ever worries you about your kitten, message me. I’ll help or ask colleagues. We, the responsible breeders, always seek answers.

Shura isn’t just a cat. She’s a story of strength, love, and hope. We are looking for the most wonderful family in the world for her.

UPD.

All photos and videos are unfiltered, unedited. She's incredibly beautiful—just as full of life as in the pictures.

Shura has found her true home and now lives surrounded by love and care.

Shura is spayed, fully vaccinated for her age, and has a rabies shot valid for one year.

She eats kitten food. In the morning, she has meat, and throughout the day she eats Hill’s dry kitten kibble. She has nearly recovered from her trachea issue. We are looking for a quiet family for her, preferably without children, where she will be loved and cherished. We care deeply about our cats.
